Marinated Grill Prawn Skewers

Pane-Bistecca
To try something different on the barbecue, I made marinated grilled prawn Skewers. The recipe is very simple, and the prawns are grilled very quickly.

I should actually make them all the time; they are so easy and taste wonderful! However, you should marinate the prawns overnight so that they taste really great!

Ingredients

  • 500 g larger Prawns

  • Wooden or metal Skewers

  • Marinade

  • 6 Garlic cloves, chopped

  • 1 tsp Chili Flakes

  • ¼ Bunch Parsley, chopped

  • Salt and Pepper

  • Olive Oil

  • Juice of 2 Lemons

Instructions

1

Step 1

Mix the marinade ingredients together. Marinate the prawns in it overnight.
2

Step 2

Thread 4-6 prawns onto the skewers. Place the skewers on a grill plate. We put the skewers on the hot grill with the grill plate first, but that didn’t work. The prawns would only have been steamed.

Step 3

So put the skewers on the grill rack and grill for about 3 minutes, then turn and grill for another 3-5 minutes. They will turn from gray to pink. Don’t leave them on the grill for too long, otherwise they will become rubbery hard!

Step 4

Serve them with Aioli or Lime-Sour Cream Dip!
