Ayam Goreng – Indonesisches gebratenes Hähnchen

Ayam Goreng – Indonesian fried Chicken

Pane-bistecca
Ayam Goreng – Indonesian fried chicken – is a popular dish in Indonesia and Malaysia, known for its crispy crust and tender meat.

The chicken is marinated in a mixture of spices and herbs, including garlic, ginger, turmeric, and other spices. The marinated chicken is then deep-fried until crispy and golden brown.

Ayam Goreng literally translates as “fried chicken”! Or rather “versions” – these nations are so crazy about fried chicken that there is not just one, but at least a dozen different ways to prepare it! Some are breaded, some are dusted with flour, others are simply marinated and fried without breading. Some are served with spicy sambal, others with tempting sauces, and still others are served plain so that their crispy glory can be fully appreciated.

This recipe takes part in the Culinary World travel of Volkermampft, which travels to Indonesia in the month of October!

The Indonesian extended family forms the foundation of Indonesian society. People abide by the rules and traditions of the family network, which ensures social recognition and security. Families often have many children, as it is not uncommon for children to have to support their families financially and care for their parents in old age.
If you are invited to eat with an Indonesian family, you should always wait to be asked to eat. In addition, you should never take too much food, as it is polite to always be able to take at least a second helping.
