Ananas Konfitüre – Pineapple Jam – Koch mein Rezept Teil 1

2 Mins read

For the event “Koch mein Rezept” (cook my recipe) I was given the blog “Küchentraum & Purzelbaum” from Kathrina. Oh boy! It wasn’t easy to choose one, as she has so many wonderful recipes! I had to decide and found this wonderful and gluten-free Coconut Cake from Haiti! Perfect, as I have to cook and bake gluten-free for my daughter!

First I cooked the jam and decided that this jam needs more  Genau richtig für mich, denn ich muss ja glutenfrei kochen für meine Tochter. So here is the first post for the event and the cake will follow later. I have already baked it once, but I want to bake it again so that the pictures will be beautiful! Here is the fine and not too sweet pineapple jam from Kathrina. (The description of her blog will follow).

Ananas Konfitüre

Kathrina’s Original:
350 g frische Ananas
2 Limetten
200 g Rohrohrgelierzucker

Meines:
1 kg frische Ananas
3 Limetten

Gelierprobe machen. In die vorbereiteten Marmeladengläser füllen und verschließen. Für 5 Minuten auf den Deckel stellen.

Kathrina’s Original:
350 g fresh pineapple
2 limes
200 g raw cane jelling sugar

Mine:
1 kg fresh pineapple
3 limes
500 g jam sugar (normal, as I couldn’t find the other kind)

Peel the pineapple and cut into pieces. Wash the limes in hot water. Grate two limes, squeeze all limes. Finely purée the lime juice and pineapple. Mix with the lime zest and the raw cane jelling sugar. Bring to the boil and boil for at least 3 minutes. Check the jelly if it is done. Pour into the prepared jam jars and seal. Turn over onto the lid for 5 minutes.
