Fisch und Kochbananen Topf – Fish and Plantain Pot

1 Mins read

In Asia they often use Plantains with fish and so I tried this too. The plantains have quite a nice taste and do not get mushy, there is also no sweetness like in the normal banana. I find fish and plantain make a good marriage! This is a quick and easy recipe, serve it with white rice or vegetables.

Fuer 2 Personen:
2 Kochbanenen
300 g festkochender Fisch
1 Zitrone, den Saft
1 Limette, den Saft
1 TL Kurkuma/Turmeric Pulver
1/2 TL Cumin/Kreuzkuemmel Pulver
1/2 TL Koriander Pulver
1/2 TL Chaat Masala (oder Garam Masala)
Salz und Pfeffer
Oel

For 2 Persons:
2 Plantain
300 g Fish, that doesn’t fall apart when cooking
1 Lemon, the juice
1 Lime, the juice
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
1/2 tsp Chaat Masala (or Garam Masala)
Salt and Pepper
Oil

Dice the fish into bite size pieces, slice the plantain. Mix all other ingredients together and marinate the fish and the plantain in it for 30 minutes. Fry everything in hot oil until nice and crisp. Served with white rice this dish is delicious!
