Gnocchi indisch angehaucht – Gnocchi with Indian Flavors

1 Mins read

A very quick dish with unusual ingredients and seasoning. But because of that it is very refreshing! You can make it as spicy as you like. As Gnocchi have little taste you should make the sauce nice and spicy. I used Okra (Ladyfingers). I love them when they are cooked nice and crisp.

Gnocchi indisch angehaucht

Fuer 2 Personen:
300 g Gnocchi
150 g Garnelen, kleingeschnitten
3 Knoblauchzehen, gehackt
100 g Okra
1/4 TL Senfsamen
1-2 gruene Chilies, gehackt
1/4 TL Cuminpulver
1/2 TL Turmeric/Kurkuma
1/4 TL Corianderpulver
1 TL Currypulver
100 ml Weisswein
evt etwas Sahne
etwas Olivenoel

For 2 Persons:
300 g Gnocchi
150 g Prawns, cut into pieces
3 cloves of Garlic, chopped
100 g Okra
1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
1-2 green Chilies, chopped
1/4 tsp Cumin powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1/4 tsp Coriander powder
1 tsp Curry powder
100 ml White Wine
some whipping Cream if you like
some Olive Oil

Heat some olive oil in a wide pan and fry the garlic. Slice the okra and add them to the pan. Fry on high heat while mixing all the time until the “slimy” juices of the okra have disappeared. Now add the seasoning and the chilies and mix well.
Add the prawns, fry for 2 minutes, then add the white wine. Let cook until the wine has slightly reduced. You may add some whipping cream if you like.
Meanwhile cook the gnocchi and drain them. Mix them with the sauce and serve hot.
