Marzipan Pflum Cake
Pane-Bistecca
This marzipan plum cake is incredibly delicious—fresh fruit on a bed of marzipan, where the almond flavor meets the plum. A fantastic combination!
I love cakes where the fruit pairs perfectly with a particular ingredient. You have to take advantage of such combinations, such as Chocolate and Orange, or Chocolate and Pears, Basil and Tomato, or Goat Cheese with Figs and Honey, Salmon with Horseradish, Pork and Apple, and many more combinations. These days, people are really getting creative with food pairings—they’re constantly discovering new combinations that go together perfectly.
