Caramelized Macadamia Nut Cake
Pane-bistecca
A Caramelized Macadamia Nut Cake like this tastes like Australia and vast plains with the sound of the sea on the other side… Yes, I dream of it, but not only that!
I have a little granddaughter in Australia. I went to visit her for her christening. A sweet angel! Exactly, your own children are always the most beautiful! Unfortunately, Australia isn’t exactly close to us, but I’m going to travel there more often now because I want the little one to know us and recognize us as family.
Yes, and in Australia they have these delicious macadamia nuts, which they like to sell covered in chocolate. But they are even better as a pie with caramel! So here is my recipe!

1 ready rolled out Pie crust
400 g Macadamia Nuts

Caramel Topping
Instructions
1
Step 1
Roast the macadamia nuts in a shallow pan without fat.

4
Step 4
Mix together the sugar, honey, eggs, melted butter and vanilla essence. Pour this mixture over the nuts.
5
Step 5
Bake in the oven at 180 C degrees for approx. 40-50 minutes.
Notes
A great cake, with the typical taste of Australia!
