Falsche Spaghetti Carbonara

Fake Spaghetti Carbonara – #wirrettenwaszurettenist

Pane-Bistecca
This recipe for fake spaghetti carbonara isn’t quite original, but it’s super quick. And that’s exactly what we, from the #wirrettenwaszurettenist team, want to show you!

We do a quarterly blog event in which we take up a dish or a topic that you can buy ready-made in the supermarket. But what’s in these ready meals makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

It’s no quicker to cook spaghetti and heat up the sauce. It takes the same amount of time to cook the spaghetti, stir the sauce and fry the bacon.

I never buy ready-made sauces because I want the healthiest, most natural ingredients possible in my pasta!

Back to my fake spaghetti carbonara! Here in Asia, you can get a lot of it ready-made in a jar. As the Filipinos are oriented towards America due to their history, there are a lot of products from America available here. This includes jars and jars of carbonara sauce. But their carbonara sauce contains not only the original ingredients, eggs, cheese, pepper, bacon, but also mushrooms, cream, sugar(!!!), cream cheese, yeast extract, and much more, especially colorings, stabilizers, etc.

My fake carbonara has cream in it to imitate the ready-made sauce, but no color, no sugar, no chemical additives! Hence the name “fake” spaghetti carbonara!

I Thank Silvia from Brotwein for her work in our group and for organizing the topics and Martin for compiling the link lists.

Notes

Easy and quick!

Here you can clearly see the nonsense on the labels of non-Italian ready-made carbonara sauces. Carbonara sauce with apple pie, pancakes and dessert??? Some Italians are turning in their graves!!!

And a label with the ingredients of the ready-made sauces.
