Einfache Sweet and Sour Garnelen – Simple Sweet and Sour Shrimps

1 Mins read

These shrimps are cooked in no time and are not as sweet, as the normal Chinese sweet and sour shrimps. I love these for a light lunch, served on lettuce. You can add a little Chutney on the side or some slices of tomato and cucumber. You can easily serve them as starter in a little basked made with spring-roll wrappers or just in a big lettuce leave.  I love them!

Fuer 2 Personen:
300 g frische geschaelte Garnelen

For 2 Persons:
300 g fresh peeled Shrimps
Salt and Pepper
1 tbsp Olive Oil
3 tbsp Apricot Jam or Orange Marmalade (depending if you like them more sweet or more sour)
2 tbsp Cider Vinegar
1 clove of Garlic, chopped
1/2 Bunch Parsley, chopped
2 Spring-onion, chopped
Lettuce Leaves
Tomato or Cucumber to taste
Chutney to taste

Heat the oil in a wok and fry the garlic shortly. Add the shrimps and add the vinegar. mix well, then season and add the marmalade or jam. Add the herbs, mix again well and cook, but not too long or the shrimps get chewy! Pour over the lettuce leaves and serve.  You can also sprinkle with some crushed nuts.
