Chicken with Onion and Cheese

This recipe takes a little time to prepare, but afterwards you have really great, tender chicken with onions and cheese. The onions are glazed so that they have a lot of flavor, then everything is baked with lots of cheese.

Ingredients
4 Chicken Breasts, halved crosswise
20 g Butter
5 red Onions, thinly sliced
2 Shallots, chopped
3 cloves of Garlic, chopped
Salt tnd Pepper
1 tsp Sugar
150 ml Broth
200 g grated Gruyère
Paprika
Chili
Oregano

Step 1
Season the chicken breasts on both sides and place in a greased casserole dish.

Melt the butter in a wide pan and cook the onions until soft. Season with salt and pepper and add the sugar. Fry the garlic with them. As soon as the onions are a little soft, add the stock. Cook until the liquid has reduced.

Spread the onions over the meat, sprinkle with cheese and bake in the oven at 200°C for 25-35 minutes.

If you like a thicker layer, sprinkle the meat with cheese again and place it under the grill for 5-10 minutes!
