Swiss Cabbage Salad with Bacon

Pane-Bistecca
I was throwing a birthday party for my brother-in-law and so I asked him what he would like to have on the buffet. He said Swiss celeriac salad! Hmmm… I had to restrain myself from laughing out loud, is there anything less simple, anything more special? Swiss cabbage salad with bacon!

OK, now the joker was back in my hand, because I had been waiting for something with meat or so. He can have the salad, no problem, because it’s very easy to make. In the end, I made several salads, including Potato Salad and Garlic Bread, various sausages and meat loaf. I haven’t made such a simple buffet for a long time and everyone loved it!

Step 1

Whip the ingredients of the dressing together. Mix the white cabbage with the salad dressing and knead with your hands, it may crunch. Cover and leave to stand for 1 hour.

Step 2

Meanwhile, fry the bacon in a pan until crispy. Mix this into the salad and serve.

Step 3

I added the caraway seeds separately, as not everyone likes too much of them in their salad. So everyone could add more if they wanted.
