Makrelen mit Kartoffeln und Gemüse – Mackerel with Potatoes and Vegetables

1 Mins read

A very simple dish that also looks good on the plate, after all, you eat with your eyes! Mackerel is delicious, but I didn’t know if my family would like it, so I cooked 2 salmon fillets with it, just like the mackerel fillets. They were accompanied by potatoes, yellow peppers, zucchini and green asparagus.

Makrelen mit Kartoffeln und Gemüse

Fuer 2 Personen:
2 grosse Makrelen Filets
2 Kartoffeln
1 Zucchini
1 gelbe Peperoni
1 Handvoll dünner, grüner Spargel
Salz und Pfeffer
wenig Olivenöl
etwas Zitronensaft

For 2 Persons:
2 big Mackerel Fillets
2 Potatoes
1 Zucchini
1 yellow Capsicum
1 handful thin green Asparagus
Salt and Pepper
some Olive Oil
some Lemon Juice

Brush the potatoes under fresh water very well, then slice them into 5 mm thin slices. Fry them in some olive oil on both sides. Meanwhile slice the zucchini the same size and put them into the same pan after you turned the potatoes over the first time. Cut thin stripes from the capsicum and add them with the asparagus to the pan. Fry the vegetables until done. Season with salt and pepper.
Season the  mackerel fillets with salt and pepper. Fry them in some oil skin down first for 4 minutes, turn them over carefully and fry them for another 2 minutes. Sprinkle some lemon juice over them and serve them with the potatoes and vegetable slices.
