Grill-Potatoes with Sour-Cream Herb Dip

Pane-Bistecca
Summer, sun and the heat from the barbie! We actually do this the wrong way around! We generate more heat, even though it’s hot already outside. Why don’t we grill in winter? Than we could warm ourselves at the fire. I believe, we have fun to be all messed up!

I love potatoes from the grill, served with a wonderful sour-cream dip! I think on all of my BBQ nights I have served potatoes with some kind of dip.  The first time I had these kind of dips was at the home of my, at that time, future mother-in-law. She made this dip with curd and chives and I could have eaten tons of it!

The first time I had these kind of dips was at the home of my, at that time, future mother-in-law. She made this dip with curd and chives and I could have eaten tons of it! As I don’t get these ingredients in Asia I use sour cream! This is an entry to the blog event of Foodblogsschweiz Event of the month “Grill”.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg small Potatoes washed

  • For the Dip

  • 500 g Sour Cream (or Quark)

  • 6 Spring onion (or 1 Bunch Chieves) gehackt

  • Salt and Pepper

  • Paprika

  • Chili Flakes

  • 1 Pinch of Nutmeg

  • dried Parsley

Instructions

1

Step 1

Cook the potatoes in the pressure cooker for 3 minutes, or cook them in boiling water, until slightly cooked. They have to be cooked but not too soft!
2

Step 2

had bought these grill wires and put the potatoes onto this wire. You can pull the end through the loop, so you can easily transport the wire with the potatoes. And if you let hang the ends of the wire off the grill, you will not burn your fingers. You can take the wire off the barbie with a cloth and not be too much worried about burning your fingers, when removing the potatoes.
3

Step 3

Put the wires with the potatoes onto the barbie and grill them on both sides.
4

Schritt 4

Mix all ingredients for the dip well together. Keep in the fridge until ready to serve.

Notes

Serve the barbecued potatoes with the dip.
