Versucht Kartoffelscheiben, Blumenkohl, Auberginen!

I loooooooooooove Indian food and one of the most loved ones is Onion Pakora! It brings up memories of us in or early married years living in London and going to Indian restaurants. For me it was the first time to eat real Indian food (not the one the Swiss serve) and I loved it!
Some call these onion pakora, some onion bhajis; the difference is, with bhajis the dough is not seasoned; with pakora you normally add salt and cumin or chili to the dough.
This dough is also nice with potatoes, eggplants or cauliflower!
I copied this recipe from Veena Theagarajan and her Blog Great secret of life. You find the recipe there. This is by far the best pakora I have ever had!!! Thanks to Veena and her mother!!! And it is gluten-free!

2 grosse rote Zwiebeln, in Scheiben geschnitten.
Ausbackteig:
250 g Besan / Kichererbsenmehl
125 g Reismehl
1 Prise Weinsteinbackpulver
Salz nach Geschmack
1/2 Tl Chilipulver

Es braucht sehr wenig Wasser, also aufpassen! Haefchenweise in heissem Oel ausbacken. Sofort servieren!

2 big red Onion, slices finely
Batter:
250 g Besan Flour (Chickpea Flour)
125 Rice Flour
1 pinch Baking Soda
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp Chili Powder
Oil for frying

Mix all ingredients for the batter together and add very little water, to form a sticky batter. It needs really only little water! The batter should stay dry. Mix well, then add the sliced onions. Fry heaps of them in hot oil. Serve immediately!
