Gefuellte Muschelteigwaren ueberbacken – Baked stuffed Pasta Shells

2 Mins read

There are many kinds of stuffed pastas, like Ravioli or Tortellini, or even Cannelloni. But you can also fill big pasta shells, they are perfect for this recipe. I filled them with a mixture of ground beef and mozzarella, but you can actually stuff them with anything. You can prepare this dish in advance, cover it with cling-foil and put it in the fridge. Then when you want to use it, you only have to pour the tomato sauce over it and bake it.

Fuer 2 Personen:
12 Teigwarenmuscheln
200 g Rinderhack
2 Knoblauchzehen
1/2 Zwiebel
1 Eigelb
1/2 Kugel Mozzarella
1 EL Saure Sahne
Salz und Pfeffer
Oregano
Rosmarin
1 Glas Tomatensauce (400 ml)

For 2 Persons:
12 Pasta Shells
200 g ground Beef
2 cloves of Garlic
1/2 Onion
1 Egg-yolk
1/2 Mozzarella Cheese
1 tbsp Sour Cream
Salt and Pepper
Oregano
Rosemary
1 jar Tomato sauce (400 ml)
some grated Parmesan and whipping Cream

Cook the pasta shells as advised on the packaging and rinse them with cold water to avoid them from cooking longer.

Mix the ground beef with the chopped onion and garlic. Then chop the mozzarella and add them with the seasoning, egg-yolk and whipped cream. Fill this into a piping bag. Pipe this filling into the cooked pasta shells and put them into a greased gratin dish. Pour the tomato sauce over it and you may add some grated cheese and whipping cream. Bake in the oven at 180 C for 40 minutes.
