Wow, ich bin Gastgeberin an einem Blogevent! Das ist eine grosse Ehre fuer mich, denn es ist mein erster Blogevent, an dem ich Gastgeberin bin. Ich wuerde mich sehr freuen, wenn Ihr rege mitmacht, denn Fernweh oder Heimweh haben doch alle! Gerade jetzt!!!! Danke Zorra!

Wow, I am host for a blog event! This is a big thing for me, as I have never been a host. I would really be thrilled if you all would take part in it, the more the better. The travelling bug or wanderlust, homesickness or nostalgia are feelings we always have. Especially now!!! Thanks Zorra!

Heimweh-Küche für Expats

Hoi zäme,

genau wie Zorra, wohne ich seit Urzeiten nicht mehr in der Heimat. Ein Leben als Expat ist aufregend, aber es bedeutet auch, dass wir hin und wieder von Heimweh geplagt werden. In solchen Momenten koche ich gerne Gerichte aus der alten Heimat. Auch wenn es nicht immer einfach ist die Zutaten aufzutreiben, solche Gerichte geben etwas Trost, gerade in Zeiten wie diesen.

Fernweh-Küche für Zuhausegebliebene

Ich denke auch Zuhausegebliebene plagt das Heim- oder Fernweh. Picknick in den Bergen, Essen an der Strandbar oder exklusiv Speisen beim Städtetrip – zurzeit alles nicht möglich. Das Fernweh muss aber nicht mal so fern sein, vielleicht fehlt auch nur das Brot vom Ort in dem ihr aufgewachsen seid, oder ein Gericht, das die Mutter oder die Oma immer gekocht hat?

Kurzum –

kochen wir uns doch einfach in die Heimat oder in die Ferne!

Nostalgia for Expats

Hello,

just like Zorra I have lived outside my home country for a very long time. A life as expat is exciting, but it means also suffering from homesickness from time to time. In such moments I like to cook a meal from my home country! Even though sometimes it’s not easy to get the ingredients, such meals and dishes will give us solace, especially in hard times as just right now. 

Wanderlust for all home-stayers

I believe also home-stayers have nostalgia or wanderlust. A picnic in the hills, food and drinks in a beach bar or an exclusive meal on a city trip – all of this is not possible now at the moment.  But wanderlust doesn’t have to be so far, maybe you just miss the bread from the village you grew up, or a meal cooked by your mother or grandmother.  

In short –

let us cook ourselves into our home country or into a far away place!
