Chocolate-Chip Brownies
Pane-Bistecca
I made chocolate chip brownies, but they turned out completely different than I wanted. Has that ever happened to you? You have an idea, know how you want it and the result looks totally different but tastes great!
That’s what happened to me with this cake! I actually wanted the brownie layer at the bottom and flecks of chocolate chips on top. But… what I hadn’t considered was that the light-colored batter with the chocolate chips is heavier than the brownie batter. So, it sank to the bottom and the cake came out the other way around, light batter on the bottom, brownie on top.
But the taste… wow! The brownies are crispy on the outside, soft and very chocolatey on the inside. Simply delicious!
I’ll show you how I made it, but I’m also going to bake the cake the other way around, with the light-colored batter on the bottom and the brownies on top.
