Gummibärchen Fenster Plätzchen – Gummy Bears Window Cookies

1 Mins read

Meine Freundin Natalie hatte Spass daran!

I got these German gummy bears as a gift and I did not know what to do with them. Of course, you eat them, but if I get something unusual in our part of the world and I am the only one in the family eating them, I try to invent something with them. So I did! I made these window cookies! They are quickly baked and who ever gets them as a gift is happy! My friend Natalie loved it!

Gummibärchen Fenster Plätzchen

Für 12 Stück:
125 g Butter in Stücken
180 g Mehl
2 Eigelbe
60 g Puderzucker
1 Prise Salz
Abrieb 1 Zitrone

For 12 Pieces:
125 g Butter diced
180 g Flour
2 Egg-yolks
60 g Icing Sugar
1 Pinch of Salt
Zest of 1 Lemon

Mix all ingredients together and quickly knead into a dough. Wrap into cling-foil and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Then roll out the dough approx. 5 mm thick and cut circles out with a glass or a cookie cutter. Cut out a smaller hole in the middle of each cookie and put them onto baking paper on a baking tray. Put a gummy bear into each hole, this will melt and make the glass window. Bake in the oven at 160 C for 12-15 minutes. Let them cool completely before taking them from the tray.
