Visit in the Sausage Factory

We had the opportunity to visit the sausage factory of Euro-Swiss Food Inc. Philippines. I would like to thank the owner Werner Berger and the head of the meat factory Hubert Weber for this very interesting tour and the delicious lunch afterwards. We have never had such fresh, crispy Wienerli, fresh off the rack, literally!

As I also make my own sausages, I am very interested in how they are produced on a large scale. We were taken through all the halls and even the freezer rooms and I was quite amazed. Here I show you in the video how the Cervelats are made. They are completely white before they are cooked.

Of course, we not only saw sausages, but also visited the smokehouses where bacon was smoked and meat loaf was made.

The ham was first injected with the spices and curing salt. Then treated, we did not see the process. Then filled into bags.

And the presses that press the ham into shape were interesting!

It’s crazy how much meat (not just sausages) is processed here.

We also saw the packaging, where now only the sausages have to be placed in the trays, then the machine does everything until they come out ready for sale with labels and everything. A great day with lots of new things for me!!!
