We love mushrooms and so I try to cook all kinds of mushrooms and recipes. My hubby asks me every time, if I try to poison him again, then all the other times it didn’t work! I bought Portobello mushrooms, the big mushrooms I usually use to fill. If you fry them on high heat with lots of garlic, they will be delicious!! And they are done in a jiffy! You can also use normal button mushrooms. My mum used to serve them on a piece of toast. It’s an easy and quick dish! This is my entry to the blog event Autumn enjoyment from Backmaedchen1967 on Zorras blog Kochtopf.

Gebratene Portobello Pilze

Fuer 4 Personen:
6 Knoblauchzehen
500 g Portobello Pilze
20 g Butter
1 EL Olivenöl
Salz und Pfeffer
Paprika
Rosmarin
1 TL Italienische Kräuter oder gehackte Petersilie
Etwas Zitronensaft

For 4 Persons:
6 cloves of Garlic
500 g Portobello Mushrooms
20 g Butter
1 tbsp Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper
Paprika
Rosemary
1 tsp Italian Herbs or chopped Parsley
Some Lemon Juice

Brush the mushrooms carefully with a wet kitchen towel and cut them into slices. Sprinkle them with a little lemon juice. Chop the garlic cloves. Heat the butter and the olive oil in a wide pan and fry the chopped garlic in it. Add the mushroom slices and fry on high heat (without burning them), while turning them over all the time. Season well. Don’t fry them too long or they will release a lot of water and lose their taste. So only fry them until they still have some “bite”. Serve hot on a toasted bread or to meat!
