They used to be served with meals in restaurants, but that&#8217;s no longer the case because they&#8217;ve become too expensive. It&#8217;s better value to buy a whole loaf of bread. But these Semmeli (or B\u00fcrli) are a MUST with bratwurst or cervelat sausage!\n        <br><br>\n\t\tThe Swiss are known for their good bread. They are also known for the names they give their bread rolls, such as Weggli, Semmeli, Mutschli, Chnurzelbroetli, or <a href=\"https:\/\/pane-bistecca.com\/2021\/04\/16\/st-galler-handburli-nachgebacken-traditional-bread-rolls-from-st-gallen-switzerland\/\">B\u00fcrli<\/a> etc. This recipe is for a Semmeli, a bread roll that goes well with everything and has a crispy crumb.
