I thought, I should use this idea for a dessert! It turned out well, I had a not too sweet dessert! The good thing is, it is done very quickly, and you can prepare it in advance. \n<br><br>\nDalgona Coffee, what is it?\n<br>\nThe viral trend of sharing recipes and photos of the\u00a0do-it-yourself\u00a0coffee first gained prominence during the\u00a0social distancing\u00a0orders in\u00a0South Korea, and for that reason it is dubbed the &#8216;quarantine drink&#8217; or &#8216;quarantine coffee&#8217;.\u00a0The coining of the name is credited to the\u00a0South Korean\u00a0actor\u00a0Jung Il-woo, who ordered a\u00a0whipped coffee\u00a0at an eatery in\u00a0Macau\u00a0during his appearance on a TV show called\u00a0Stars&#8217; Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant. He likened the taste to that of\u00a0dalgona, a type of Korean\u00a0honeycomb toffee.\n        <br><br>\n\t\tUnder the hashtag #dalgonacoffeechallenge, homemade versions of dalgona coffee began spreading on South Korean\u00a0YouTube\u00a0channels before going viral on\u00a0TikTok.\u00a0\u00a0Although the beverage was popularized as a home-made version of beaten coffee, it is becoming a menu offering in many coffee shops in South Korea. The drink is also said to closely resemble the Indian beverage known as\u00a0phenti hui\u00a0coffee,\u00a0phitti hui\u00a0coffee, or\u00a0beaten coffee.\u00a0The only difference is that when making\u00a0phenti hui\u00a0coffee, milk is poured on top of the whipped mix rather than spooning the whipped mix on top of the milk.
