Die Zeit hier ist nur so geflogen und schon sind wir wieder auf dem Sprung! Obwohl es Juli ist, eigentlich Typhoon Season, hatten wir jeden Tag blauen Himmel und Sonnenschein. Naja, es ist br\u00fctend heiss, bis 38 Grad, aber das sind wir uns gewohnt. Es hat mir sehr gut gefallen, wenn auch das ein oder andere schockierend und entt\u00e4uschend war, so hatte ich wenigstens kein Heimweh!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Jeder denkt wohl, die chinesischen Dumplings sind sowas von kompliziert und schwierig zu machen. Total falsch gedacht! Wenn man sich gut organisiert, sind sie ganz schnell gemacht. Frittiert und mit einem Dip serviert, schmecken sie an jeder Party super.<br \/>Wonton k\u00f6nnen ged\u00e4mpft, gebraten oder gar frittiert werden. Sehr beliebt sind sie in der Suppe! <br \/>Ich habe meine mit der typischen, kantonesischen Fleisch-Garnelen F\u00fcllung gef\u00fcllt, wie Tortellini geschlossen und im Oel ausgebacken. Man kann sie warm oder gar kalt essen, am Besten mit einem suess-sauren Chili Dip, oder wer mag, einfach mit etwas Sojasauce. The time here has just flown by and we are already on the move again! Although it is July, actually typhoon season, we have had blue skies and sunshine every day. Well, it&#8217;s brutally hot, up to 38 degrees, but we&#8217;re used to that. I enjoyed it very much, even if some things were shocking and disappointing, at least I didn&#8217;t feel homesick!<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Everyone thinks that Chinese dumplings are so complicated and difficult to make. Totally wrong! If you are well organised, they can be made very quickly. Deep-fried and served with a dip, they taste great at any party. Wontons can be steamed, fried or even deep-fried. They are very popular in soup!<\/em><br \/><em>I filled mine with the typical Cantonese meat and shrimp filling, closed them like tortellini and fried them in oil. You can eat them warm or even cold, preferably with a sweet and sour chili dip, or if you like, just with a little soy sauce. Die Fr\u00fchlingszwiebeln hacken und dazu mischen. Marinade zugeben, gut vermischen und 20 Minuten im K\u00fchlschrank durchziehen lassen.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Am Besten organisiert man sich so:<\/strong><br \/>Von rechts nach links, erst die Wonton Wrappers auf den Tisch legen, dann die Sch\u00fcssel mit der F\u00fcllung, ein Schl\u00fcsselchen mit kaltem Wasser, dann einen grossen Teller, den man mit St\u00e4rkemehl bestreut, damit die Wontons nicht kleben bleiben.\u00a0<br \/><strong>Nun von rechts nach links arbeiten:<\/strong><br \/>&#8211; einen Wonton Wrapper in die Hand legen, so dass eine Ecke nach oben deutet\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; 1 geh\u00e4uften TL F\u00fcllung in die Mitte geben<br \/>&#8211; die oberen beiden Kanten mit dem kalten Wasser bestreichen<br \/>&#8211; Wonton zusammen klappen und vom Fleisch her nach aussen zusammen dr\u00fccken, so streicht man die Luft raus und klebt die Seiten zusammen.<br \/>&#8211; den linken Zeigefinger oben in die Mitte des gef\u00fcllten Teiles legen und die beiden Spitzen des Wrappers mit etwas Wasser bestreichen und gut zusammen dr\u00fccken. Man kann sie auch als Dreieck lassen, oder gar ein Rechteck machen.\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; auf den Teller mit dem St\u00e4rkemehl legen<br \/>(und wer jetzt sagt, das sieht, aus wie Tortellini ist gar nicht so falsch. Die Frage ist nun, wer hat&#8217;s zuerst gemacht.)<br \/>Die Wontons im heissen Oel ausbacken, auf K\u00fcchenpapier abtropfen lassen und mit den Dips servieren.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">************<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>For approx. 6 Persons:<\/strong><\/em><br \/><em>24-30 square yellow Wonton Wrappers<\/em><br \/><em>300 g ground Pork<\/em><br \/><em>150 g Shrimps, shelled and deveined\u00a0<\/em><br \/><em>2 Spring-onions<\/em><br \/><em>Oil for frying<\/em><br \/><em>Soy Sauce or Sweet Chili Sauce for Dips<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>Marinade:<\/strong><\/em><br \/><em>1\/2 tsp Salt<\/em><br \/><em>1\/2 tsp white Pepper<\/em><br \/><em>1\/2 tsp Chicken Powder<\/em><br \/><em>1 Egg-white<\/em><br \/><em>1 tsp Sesame Oil<\/em><br \/><em>1 tbsp Soy Sauce<\/em><br \/><em>1\/2 tsp Sugar<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Chop the shrimps and mix them with the ground pork. Chop the spring-onion too and mix it in. Mix all the ingredients of the marinade and mix with the meat. Let marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>Now organize your work place:<\/strong><\/em><br \/><em>From right to left, put the Wonton wrappers down, then the bowl with the filling, then a little bowl with some cold water, and a large plate sprinkled with cornstarch, so the Wontons will not stick to the plate.\u00a0<\/em><br \/><em><strong>Now work from right to left:<\/strong><\/em><br \/><em>&#8211; put a wrapper into your palm so that one corner points up<\/em><br \/><em>&#8211; put one heaped teaspoon of filling into the middle<\/em><br \/><em>&#8211; dab the two top sides with cold water<\/em><br \/><em>&#8211; now fold the wrapper together and brush the air out by pushing from the filling to the outside, so closing the wrappers together.\u00a0<\/em><br \/><em>&#8211; put your left index finger onto the middle of the filled triangular Wonton and fold both corners together, clue them with some cold water. You can also leave them as triangles or even as rectangles.\u00a0<\/em><br \/><em>&#8211; put them onto the cornstarch sprinkled plate<\/em><br \/><em>(and if you say now that they are just like Italian Tortellini, yes, you are not far off. Now the question remains, who was first, the Chinese or the Italians?)<\/em><br \/><em>Deep-fry them in hot oil and serve them with sweet chili sauce or soy sauce.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<figure
