Da wir aber das ganze Jahr durch gruenen Spargel erhalten, der auch hier gezogen wird, ist Spargel nicht wirklich eine Seltenheit. Weisser Spargel aber schon, denn der wird importiert und kostet ein kleines Vermoegen. Deshalb gibt es den bei uns zuhause kaum, meist nur dann, wenn wir im Fruehling in Europa sind. Dort geniessen wir ihn dann umso mehr!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">************<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>It is asparagus time again, as there are menus with white asparagus available at some restaurants. In Asia green asparagus is always available, as it is grown here too. So, we often cook with it. But white asparagus is a whole different matter. It is very expensive, as it is imported. That\u2019s why I very seldom cook it, and when, then only when we are in Europe in spring. But when we are there, we really enjoy it!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pane-bistecca.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/spa9-1024x702.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5914\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Fuer eine grosse Waehe fuer ca 8 Personen:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1.2 kg duenner gruener Spargel<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1 kg Blaetterteig<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">2 Eier<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Salz und Pfeffer<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">200 g Cr\u00e8me Fraiche<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">20 g geriebener Kaese (ich nahm Cheddar)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">4 Fruehlingszwiebeln, gehackt<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Den Blaetterteig auswallen auf etwas grosser als die Backform und in die Form drapieren, Raender hochziehen. Den Boden mehrfach mit einer Gabel einstechen. Die duennen Spargeln muessen nicht vorgekocht werden, wer aber die dicken gruenen Spargeln benuetzt, sollte sie schaehlen und kurz blanchieren. Die Spargeln auf dem Teig schoen verteilen. Die Eier mit dem Kaese und der Cr\u00e8me Fraiche verschlagen, gut wuerzen und die gehackten Fruehlinszwiebeln dazu mischen. Diese Mischung ueber die Spargeln giessen und die Waehe im Ofen bei 200 C Grad 30-35 Minten backen. Die Waehe schmeckt warm am Besten!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">************<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>For a big Pie for approx. 8 People:<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>1.2 kg thin, green Asparagus <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>1 kg Puff Pastry<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>2 Eggs<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Salt and Pepper<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>200 g Cr\u00e8me Fraiche <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>20 g grated Cheese (I took Cheddar)<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>4 Spring-onion, chopped<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Roll out the puff pastry a little bigger than the baking dish. Put it into the baking dish and pull up the sides. Pinch the bottom with a fork to avoid it bubbling up. The thin green asparagus don\u2019t have to be cooked, but if you use the thicker green asparagus, you need to peel and shortly boil them. Put the asparagus onto the pastry. Mix the eggs with the cheese and cr\u00e8me fraiche, season well and add the chopped spring-onion. Pour over the asparagus and bake in the oven at 200 C for 30-35 minutes.
