Damit auch alle erfahren, was ein Hasher ist (ganz sicher nicht das, ewas ihr jetzt denkt!) erklaere ich es euch! Die Hash House Harriers sind ein internationaler Rennverein, die einmal in der Woche so eine Art Schnitzeljagt organisieren. Mein Mann hat seit Jahren den 1. Montag im neuen Jahr fuer sich reserviert, er ist der Hare, also derjenige, der den Run legt. Dieses Jahr wurde sein Run um eine Woche vorverschoben und somit sind wir diesen Montag dran. Wir, weil er den Run macht und der dann hier bei uns auf dem Dach endet. Es gibt immer ein typisch schweizerisches Grillfest danach, mit schweizer Bratwuersten und Cervelats, manchmal gibts Pasta dazu, oder Spaetzli, oder Kartoffelsalat, oder&#8230; diesmal, eine deftige Suppe, denn es ist kalt hier.<br \/>\nIch habe lange ueberlegt, welche ich kochen soll, denn die typisch Schweizerischen sind zb. Basler Mehlsuppe, da bin ich aber nicht sicher, ob die dann auch gegessen wird. Oder Gerstensuppe, die wird hier in jedem Restaurant angeboten, oder eine simple Flaedlisuppe&#8230;. hm nein.<br \/>\nSo habe ich mich auf die Suche nach einer richtig herzhaften Suppe gemacht und habe die <a href=\"http:\/\/therecipecritic.com\/2013\/11\/creamy-zuppa-toscana\/\">Creamy Zuppa Toscana<\/a> gefunden, schliesslich habe ich ja italienische Wurzeln. Ich habe das Rezept leicht vereinfacht und wenn man da noch etwas Chili zugibt, ist die genau richtig!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">************<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>My husband is a hasher! So you don&#8217;t get it all wrong, Hash House Harriers, as the hashers are known, is an international running club; they run once a week. It&#8217;s been a few years now, that the first run of the new year has been our run; this year our run has been put on the last Monday in the old year, this coming Monday! I say OUR run because my husband is the hare, preparing the trail and I am preparing dinner for the runners. The run always ends on our roof, where we will have a traditional Swiss BBQ with Bratwurst and Cervelats, and something else like potato salad, pasta, Spaetzli etc&#8230; this time I want to serve a soup then the weather turned cold.\u00a0<\/em><br \/>\n<em>I was trying to find a soup for this event, but could not think of a typical Swiss soup matching the BBQ. I could make the \u00a0Basler Flour Soup, but I am not sure anyone will like it; or the Swiss barley soup that can be eaten in all the restaurants here, or a simple Consomme Celestine&#8230; hm no!<\/em><br \/>\n<em>So I went searching the web and found this wonderful\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/therecipecritic.com\/2013\/11\/creamy-zuppa-toscana\/\">Creamy Zuppa Toscana<\/a>.\u00a0I think, with my Italian roots I can pull this off. I simplified the recipe and added chili, it&#8217;s perfect!<\/em><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4840 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/pane-bistecca.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/zup5-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Fuer 4-5 Portionen als Hauptspeise oder 6-8 als Vorspeise:<br \/>\n4 Scheiben Bratspeck<br \/>\n500 g Italienische Schweinsbratwurst ungekocht (es gibt zwei verschiedene, wer&#8217;s scharf mag, sollte die mit Peperoncino nehmen)<br \/>\n1 Zwiebel, gehackt<br \/>\n2 Knoblauchzehen, gehackt<br \/>\n1 El Olivenoel<br \/>\n1 L Huhehnerbruehe<br \/>\n4 Kartoffeln, duenn geschnitten (ich habe den Gurkenhobel genommen)<br \/>\n100 g frischer Spinat<br \/>\n250 ml Sahne<br \/>\nSalz und Pfeffer<br \/>\nPaprika und italienische Kraeuter<br \/>\n1\/2 Tl Chiliflocken<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Den Speck kleinschneiden und separat in einer Bratpfanne knusprig braten, zur Seite geben. Die gehackte Zwiebel und die Knoblauchzehen im Olivenoel glasig braten. Das Wurstfleisch aus der Haut druecken und etwas verhacken, dann zur Zwiebel geben. Alles gut durchbraten. Nun die Bruehe zugeben und aufkochen, dann die Kartoffelscheiben in die Suppe geben und ca. 10-15 Minuten koecheln lassen.<br \/>\nAlles gut wuerzen, es darf ruhig scharf sein. Den Spinat in 1 cm breite Streifen schneiden und zugeben, nochmals ca 5 Minuten kochen lassen, dann die Sahne zugeben und evt nochmals abschmecken.\u00a0Die Suppe in Teller schoepfen und mit dem Speck garnieren.<br \/>\nIch kann mir gut vorstellen, dass es mit Currypulver gewuerzt, auch sehr gut schmeckt!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">************<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>For 4-5 Portions as main meal or 6-8 as starter:<\/em><br \/>\n<em>4 Slices of Bacon<\/em><br \/>\n<em>500 g Italian Pork Sausages raw (there are two kinds, if you like it spicy, take the one with Pepperoncino)<\/em><br \/>\n<em>1 Onion, diced<\/em><br \/>\n<em>2 cloves of Garlic, chopped<\/em><br \/>\n<em>1 tbsp Olive Oil<\/em><br \/>\n<em>1 L\u00a0Chicken broth<\/em><br \/>\n<em>4 Potatoes, sliced thinly (I used the cucumber slicer)<\/em><br \/>\n<em>100 g fresh Spinach<\/em><br \/>\n<em>250 ml Whipping Cream<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Salt and Pepper<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Paprika<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Italian mixed Herbs<\/em><br \/>\n<em>1\/2 tsp Chili flakes<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Cut the bacon into bits and fry in a pan until crisp, set aside.\u00a0Heat the olive oil in a deep pan and fry the onion and garlic until\u00a0translucent.\u00a0Press the meat of the sausages out of their skin and chop it lightly, then add to the pan. Fry it well.\u00a0Add the broth and bring to a boil, then add the potatoes and let simmer for 10-15 minutes.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Season well, it can be spicy if you like!
