Diesmal sollte es ein Curry sein, das ich in Kokosnuss-Milch gekocht und mit Tamarindensaft gew\u00fcrzt habe, eben ein Chicken Curry with Coconut and Tamarind. Tamarind gibt dem ganzen einen leicht s\u00e4uerlichen Geschmack, ist aber nicht \u00fcberm\u00e4chtig. Wer keine Tamarinden findet, kann auch etwas mehr Zitronensaft und den Abrieb ben\u00fctzen.<br>Tamarind wird in Asien oft ben\u00fctzt, ich kenne es aus der Philippinischen und Pakistanischen K\u00fcche.<br>Ich habe das Huhn 3 Stunden im Slow Cooker gekocht und dann in einem Topf weiter gekocht, um zu vermeiden, dass es zu weich und zerfallen wird. So kann man auch sehr einfach die Sauce eindicken und abschmecken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">************<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>I wanted to use my Slow Cooker again, then if you don&#8217;t have so much time to cook, this cooker is perfect. This time it would be a curry, which I cooked in coconut milk and seasoned with tamarind juice.&nbsp;Tamarind&nbsp;will give the dish a slightly sour taste, but it&#8217;s not overpowering. If you cannot get any tamarind, just use some lemon juice and add some of the grated skin.&nbsp;<\/em><br><em>Tamarind is often been used in the Filipino and Pakistani kitchen.&nbsp;<\/em><br><em>I cooked the chicken for 3 hours in the Slow Cooker and then finished it off in a deep pan. This will give the chicken a little more bite, it will not fall apart so easily. And you can thicken the sauce and season again. &nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pane-bistecca.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/tam4-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Chicken Curry with Coconut and Tamarind\" class=\"wp-image-2171\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Fuer 4-6 Personen:<br>1 ganzes Huhn, in Stuecke geschnitten<br>1 Dose Kokosnuss Milch (220 ml)<br>3 EL Tomatenmark\/Pueree<br>6 El gemahlene Mandeln<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Fuer die Marinade:<br>1 rote Zwiebel<br>3 Knoblauchzehen<br>3 cm Ingwer<br>Saft 1 Zitrone<br>3 EL Chili Garlic Paste von Lee Kum Kee<br>1 1\/2 TL Kreuzkuemmel Pulver<br>1 1\/2 TL Koriander Pulver<br>1 TL Kurkuma<br>Salz und Pfeffer<br>2 EL Oel<br>3 EL Tamarindensaft&nbsp;<em>(wir koennen den hier kaufen, man kann den aber auch selber gewinnen, indem man das Tamarindenmark mehrere Stunden in etwas Wasser einlegt)<\/em>&nbsp;oder man kann den Saft auch durch Zitronensaft ersetzen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Die Zutaten der Marinade im Blender puerieren, dann die Huehnerstuecke darin ca 2 Stunden (oder ueber Nacht) marinieren lassen.<br>Das marinierte Huhn in den Slow Cooker geben.&nbsp;220 ml Kokosmilch dazu giessen und 3 Stunden auf LOW koecheln lassen. &nbsp;Bitte stellt&nbsp;nicht auf HIGH, denn sonst kippt die Milch ueber und es sieht nicht mehr appetitlich aus!<br>Nach 3 Stunden die Huehnerstuecke in einen eingefetteten Topf geben und ca 10 Minuten braten lassen. Dann die Sauce zugeben, das Tomatenmark, die gemahlenen Mandeln zugeben und etwas einkoecheln lassen.<br>Mit weissem Reis oder Naan Brot servieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">************<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>For 4-6 Persons:<\/em><br><em>1 whole Chicken, cut into pieces<\/em><br><em>1 can Coconut Milk (220 ml)<\/em><br><em>3 tbsp Tomato&nbsp;Paste<\/em><br><em>6 tbsp ground Almonds<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>For the Marinade:<\/em><br><em>1 red Onion<\/em><br><em>3 cloves of Garlic<\/em><br><em>3 cm Ginger<\/em><br><em>The Juice of 1 Lemon<\/em><br><em>3 tbsp Chili Garlic Paste from Lee Kum Kee<\/em><br><em>1 1\/2 tsp ground Cumin<\/em><br><em>1 1\/2 tsp ground Coriander<\/em><br><em>1 tsp Turmeric<\/em><br><em>Salt and Pepper<\/em><br><em>2 tbsp Oil<\/em><br><em>3 tbsp Tamarind Juice&nbsp;(we can buy it here in Asia, but you can make your own by soaking some Tamarind pulp in water)&nbsp;or just use Lemon Juice.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Put the ingredients for the marinade into a blender and blend. Pour it over the chicken pieces and let marinade for 2 hours or over night.&nbsp;<\/em><br><em>Put the marinated chicken pieces into the Slow Cooker and add the coconut milk. Cook on LOW for 3 hours.&nbsp;Please&nbsp;don&#8217;t put it on HIGH, as the milk will curdle and that doesn&#8217;t look nice!<\/em><br><em>After 3 hours put the chicken pieces into a greased deep pot and fry for 10 minutes. Then add the sauce, the tomato paste and the ground almonds and let simmer for a while to thicken the sauce.&nbsp;<\/em><br><em>Serve with white rice or Indian Naan bread.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
