We have here small, sweet apples they are perfect to make chocolate or caramel apples. Especially now, in the pre-Christmas period, you can use small sweets well, Santa Claus day is coming soon. Sure you can make this candy with regular sized apples, or dip them in caramel, I like them better with chocolate.

And with this post we from #wirrettenwaszurettenist show that it’s not hard at all to make such things from chocolate yourself. The theme for this rescue is “anything made of chocolate” and I think the Christmas season in particular is perfect for that! It scares me every year how quickly Christmas is here again. At the beginning of the year it’s far away, poof it’s summer and then it’s Christmas right after that. So begins the Christmas cookie bakery, gifts buying, apartment decorating, just what you do before Christmas. Every year again, but I like to do these things very much!

Again, my thanks go to the moderators of the #wirrettenwaszurettenist group. Tamara from Cakes, cookies and more and Barbara from Barbaras Spielwiese.  A big thanks goes to Britta from Britta’s Kochbuch who always creates such creative banners and a special thanks goes to Martin who keeps our files in order!

Schokolade Mini-Äpfel

Es ist ganz einfach!

6 kleine Äpfel
100 g schwarze Schokolade
verschiedene Toppings wie “hundred-Thousands”, Schokostreusel, Zuckersterne, bunte Zuckerstreusel, Gummibärchen, M&M’s, oder geschmolzene weisse Schokolade.
6 Holzspiesse
Backpapier

It’s very easy!

6 small Apples
100 g dark Chocolate
different toppings like “hundred-Thousands”, Chocolate sprinkles, Sugar Stars, colorful Sugar sprinkles, Gummibears, M&M’s, or melted white Chocolate.
6 wooden Skewers
Baking Paper

Put the apples into the fridge while preparing the rest. Chocolate will stick better to the skin if that is cold. Meanwhile chop the chocolate and melt it in a Bain Marie. Prepare the toppings in small bowls.

Take the apples from the fridge and push one skewer into each core of the apples. Now turn the apples in the melted chocolate, so they are covered all over, then lift them up and let excess drip off. Now turn each apple in your desired topping and stand them up on the baking paper to cool.

Tip:
They are not only perfect for Christmas, but also for a party buffet, birthday celebration, Christening or any kind of celebration. Use colors to match the celebration theme, for example, use white chocolate for a Christening.
